Overview

LifeVault is an iOS app that transforms document scanning into structured, searchable records for families. It goes beyond simple file storage by extracting key details from IDs, insurance cards, prescriptions, and more, then linking them to individual profiles for family members, pets, and the household. The app emphasizes privacy with on-device storage and biometric protection, and offers one-tap generation of shareable PDF summaries for caregivers, schools, or emergency situations.

Key Features

• OCR Document Scanning & Data Extraction: Scan any document—driver's license, passport, vaccine card—and LifeVault automatically extracts relevant fields (name, date, ID number, etc.). Users review and confirm before saving.

• Structured Records Linked to Profiles: Each record is attached to a specific person, pet, or the household. Contacts, documents, and medications are interconnected, so a prescription links to the prescribing doctor and pharmacy.

• Three-Level Organization: Items can be attached to a single record (e.g., a photo of a prescription), linked to a profile (e.g., Olivia's primary care physician), or added to the household (e.g., the family plumber).

• Customizable Profile Sections: Toggle which categories appear per profile—medical, travel, school, support guides—so each family member sees only relevant information.

• Support Guide Builder: Create plain-language guides covering accommodations, triggers, calming strategies, and caregiver instructions. Share as a PDF with teachers, sitters, or doctors.

• Timeline & Version History: Track changes over time with a timeline. Renew a license or update a medication—the old version is archived, preserving history.

• One-Tap PDF Summaries: Generate a complete summary of any profile's records and share via text, email, or AirDrop. Choose which sections to include.

• Privacy-First Design: All data stays on-device. No cloud storage, no account required. Protected by Face ID/Touch ID. Works offline.

• 90+ Record Types: Covers medical, legal, travel, school, pet, and household categories, from birth certificates to wifi passwords.
